Surfing-Themed Birthday Party

Birthday Party· Surfing

This past weekend we celebrated my son’s birthday with a fun surfing-themed party in our backyard!  Planning and setup could not have been any easier as I was able to find everything I needed from Oriental Trading and various websites!
Scroll down to read more as there are lots of FREEBIES that I can’t wait to share with you!
The Surf’s Up Surfboard Backdrop was the bright and captivating backdrop that I needed!  It comes in three large separate pieces that can be taped together to make a very large backdrop!
In addition, the Surf’s Up Birthday Table Topper helped make the our Surfer Boy cake stand out!
The treat bags were a breeze to put together! I simply filled them with some small snacks and a silly straw, clipped these adorable tags that I downloaded from Made In A Day, and VOILA!  They were done!
You can also grab these water bottle wraps for FREE from Made In a Day!  Aren’t they so RAD??!!!
I ordered these vanilla and chocolate cupcakes from a nearby bakery then resized and printed these adorable surfboards from PaperLoving.com.  I then taped them onto little toothpicks and that was it!
To make serving chips a little more fun, I poured a bag of Bar-B-Que chips into a clean bucket with a sand shovel and a Hang Ten sign.  This sign is actually a photo stick prop from a set of 12!
I also used another stick prop as a decoration piece along with with some tropical straws for the cake table.
And of course…. the COOKIES!!!  The cookies were made by my wonderful friend Antoinette from Shoelaces&SugarCookies!  All I can say is that she makes all of my cookie dreams come true year after year with her amazing talent and baking skills!

As for other details, such as the Surfer-themed tablecloths, napkins, and plates, you can find them all here!

Well, there you have it!  An easy-to-plan and easy-to-setup Surfer-themed Birthday Party!  If you do throw one, please let me know how it goes.  I bet it will be TOTALLY RAD! 🙂

If you need some fun summer resources, scroll down more for all the details!
