Hello there! 👋🏻 It’s been forever since I introduced myself and with so many new friends recently, I wanted to stop by and share some facts on myself!

☀️I am a planner and an organizer at heart. I am also a hot mess and have a drawer to just throw junk in there. 🤣

☀️I am obsessed with 80s ballads and 90s R&B music. I mean, if you don’t know who The Jetts and Tevin Campbell are, please YouTube them. 🤣

☀️I love watching documentaries, but documentaries on the Solar System always put me to sleep in 5 minutes flat. 🌍 🪐

☀️I am a social introvert. I recharge by spending time by myself after being around others for awhile.

☀️I love baking and cooking! My mom taught me how to cook Vietnamese food on the phone after I moved out and I learned to bake from watching YouTube videos. 🤣

☀️I love road trips and can’t wait until the babies are older so we can visit all the national Parks together! 🏞 And apparently, I love taking pictures with 🌻🌻🌻. 🥰

I miss this space. I miss the memories that could

I miss this space.

I miss the memories that could have been made here last spring.

I miss the lessons that could have been taught.

But most importantly, I miss the little humans I shared this space with.

While spent all of spring missing my students, I knew we were all quarantined and felt so blessed that they were all safe.

I got to see many of them online daily. For others, I loved seeing their work, videos, and photos even if it was once in awhile. Every time I received an assignment turned in from them, I would smile and instantly felt like my day was made.

While I missed them so much, I knew that at least they were at home and we all were doing our best to minimize the chances of contracting COVID.

As much as I want to be back in my classroom and be with my new students in August, there is still so much uncertainty. The rates of people contracting COVID continues to rise and hospitals are stretched to their limits.

Being a teacher and a mom during this time also brings on another set of anxiety.

So many questions, many of those posted by sweet friend, @jillianstarrteaching . There is no perfect solution, but if those who are making decisions for our students’ and teachers’ livelihoods are meeting online, why are they the ones planning for us to teach in-person?
