My Summer So Far & All About Me

Uncategorized

It feels like the last day of school was just yesterday, but the new school year is really only a month away!!! Summer is going by so quickly, I just can’t believe it!  If you have been following me on Facebook, you might have seen that I recently visited Michigan, Illinois, and then California.  In Michigan, I visited my in-laws, and we celebrated 4th of July together.  We also went strawberry and cherry picking.  It was so much fun and so neat for our lil’ man to experience it.  From Michigan, we did a road trip to Chicago where we stopped by Willis Tower for the SkyDeck, walked around the beautiful Millennium Park, and had lunch in Chinatown. In California, I visited some of my siblings, and we did some sightseeing and ate at Japantown in San Francisco.  My husband and I also took our baby to Santa Cruz, walked the boardwalk, and got to see some friendly sea lions. I have a few more trips to make until the end of  August, and I will update you some more.

As for now, I’m beginning to think about next school year and doing some small prepping here and there when I have some free time.  Here’s something that I just completed for my Back-to-School packet.  In years past, I typed up a letter to introduce myself to parents, but I love this idea….And it’s way cuter!!!

Thank you, Whitney from At Whit’s End for sharing this.  If you would like to make your own with this or other templates, click on the link above.

For me, it was the fall of 2007 when I was hired 15 minutes before Meet-the-Teacher Night to replace the first grade teacher who decided to transfer back to her former school! Also, I had no idea I was teaching first grade until I formally accepted a teaching position. 🤣 I mean, a girl fresh from college needs a job, right?!
