For me, it was the fall of 2007 when I was hired 15 minutes before Meet-the-Teacher Night to replace the first grade teacher who decided to transfer back to her former school! Also, I had no idea I was teaching first grade until I formally accepted a teaching position. 🤣 I mean, a girl fresh from college needs a job, right?!
