It’s the Sunday Scoop!

Dallas Blogger Meet-Up· Halloween FREEBIE· Sunday Scoop

I’m linking up with the Teaching Trio again to bring to you my Sunday Scoop!

HAVE: Every year we try to dress up together as a family, and I can’t wait to finish up my hubby’s Halloween costume since the baby’s and mine are about done.  And yes, I will definitely post up pictures of our family when it’s done! 🙂

I know I’m becoming a little too paranoid, but after having my home laptop crashed about 3 times this year, I am counting the stars everyday that I had luckily backed up everything, especially all my son’s baby pictures before the laptop simply went dead.  So happy too that my sweet hubby was able to revived the laptop time after time for me.  He’s definitely a keeper!

4 more days until Halloween, and I can’t wait for my kids to see all the things I have planned for them! Below is an adjective activity that we’ll be doing in class.  Click to the files to download your FRANKENSTEIN FREEBIE!

HOPE: My sweet sister, Alina (who also has an awesome California Style Blog: Style by Alina) gifted me a giftcard for my birthday, so Fall Clothes Shopping it is!!! And since the weather is feeling like it’s summer again (90 degrees today in Texas), it’s time to take a walk in the park and chase around a two-year old with his soccer ball!

HAPPY: So happy I got a chance to attend the Dallas Blogger Meet-Up this weekend! It was my first Blogger Meet-Up ever, and I have to admit that I was super nervous going.  And of course, I stressed out BIG TIME on what to wear! Truly it felt like going on a first date but meeting 16 other teacher friends!  But I’m so glad I attended and got to meet so many new friends as we chit-chatted about our teaching and blogging experiences.  Here are some pictures of our Meet-Up below.

Special thanks to Amber from Peppy Zesty Teacherista and Ashley and Amanda from For His Glory for hosting such a fun and awesome meet-up!

And look at the amazing door prizes that I won!!! This super cute pair of earring are made by Stephanie from Mrs. D’s Corner!

And look what I also WON!!!  Will definitely put these to good use come Monday morning! 🙂

May we always carry the ideals of what make Americ May we always carry the ideals of what make America loving, kind, generous, and inclusive with us wherever we go and pass it onto our future generations. 🇺🇸

For a more perfect union, we will continue to put in the work, stay informed, and vote for the future that ALL of our children deserve. ❤️🤍💙
I believe in a loving and generous America- the Am I believe in a loving and generous America- the America that opened her arms and provided refuge to my family and allowed us to start anew and build our own American dreams.

I believe in the freedom that is the cornerstone of our democracy and the belief that we are all born FREE to make our own choices, walk our own path, and choose our own destiny wherever it may lead us.

I believe we are better when we are together, UNITED, and accepting of all Americans.

I believe in these ideals that built our great country and the belief that ALL are welcome.

May all of our students always feel this way in our classroom and and in our schools.

This activity right here is one of my favorite act This activity right here is one of my favorite activities for the beginning of the year! 🌟

I make a BIG speech bubble out of black butcher paper and cut out yellow circles for Emojis. ☺️😀😍🥳🤩😟😫

As one of the things on our class Scavenger Hunt during Meet-the-Teacher Night, the kids are asked to take one of the yellow circles and draw the face of an emoji that best describes how they feel about being a first grader.

This activity is so simple and fun but gives me such information on how the kids are all feeling even before the first day of school!

Using this simple tool, I am able to address any anxiety or stress that they may have during our FIRST Morning Meeting! It’s so powerful to know even before school begins what I need to do to help ease them into first grade! 💕

We also use the data collected for a graphing activity and then discuss what we can do to help make everyone feel happy and better.

I love this activity and will definitely be doing this again this year! Swipe to see the before picture.

For the more Back-to-School activities, you can click to the link in bio to grab them on SALE for a limited time! https://bit.ly/2TfR0w5
