After all the nervousness and butterflies, I’m so happy to say that Meet-the-Teacher Night was a SUCCESS!!! I love seeing all of my new students and their families and getting visits from my former students and their families! All in all, there was a lot of introductions, small talks, smiles, laughter, catching up, and hugs, hugs, hugs! It is the exact reason why I love being a teacher.
While the night was a BIG success, preparing for it while also attending meetings and trainings all week was definitely a challenge. To help me organized for the night, I used my Meet-the-Teacher Night Packet. The packet greatly helped my students and their parents feel more familiar with the classroom, helped me organized all the school supplies that were brought, and gave me all the essential information needed for the beginning and the rest of the year, especially regarding dismissal. So glad I had it, because it definitely saved me a lot of time.
